Limblessly Effortless
Up here we no longer have a need . . . for thumbs
But that doesn't mean we have swollen heads
We've learned that we must take each day as it comes
And not fry our brain cells with unprescribed meds
Up here we no longer have a need . . . for arms
For the Mountain's now come to Mohammed
We've learned that we needn't be prey to old qualms
And our souls have been gracefully calm-ed
Up here we no longer have a need...for toes
But that doesn't mean that we can't get about
We've found that we shouldn't just dwell on our woes
There's so many things we can get by without
Down here we no longer have a need . . . for teeth.
For eating food is something we disdain
We've found that in the depths of Underneath
Appetites in overdrive drive one insane
Down here we no longer have a need . . . for hearts
(That doesn't mean we don't love one and all)
We've learned that we don't need our fleshly parts
And thus never have to use a restroom stall
Down here we no longer have a need . . . for eyes
Yet, that doesn't mean we can't have visions.
We can plainly perceive that you're no prize
Inviting you here was the worst of decisions
