Eyeliner How Ever Loosely Bent
Ridicule for penguins only makes them slide
Deep into depression, where they try to hide
From the angry pedants who impose a tax
Branding several scarlet Ps on their unwilling backs
Ridicule for puffins only makes them blush
When their seedy secrets, trampled in the rush,
Come to light in redtops, eager for the kill
Sousing them with Perignon, and handing them the bill
Ridicule for persons only makes us crow
Louder than the so-called wise; little do they know
The reasons that compel us to act in such a way
Or they would surely come to dread the breaking of the day
Envoi
Wise men never make a fuss
That, my dears, is left to us
