Forget About Broken Daisies
When you take a taxicab, don't forget to tip
Or you may promptly find yourself aboard a slaver's ship
And when you do the continental, don't forget to dip
Or you may find your heart's desire has given you the slip
When you snatch a handkerchief, don't forget to sneeze
Or you may promptly find yourself quite riddled with disease
And when you ask for seconds, don't forget the "please"
Or you may find your heart's desire has vanished with the breeze
When you play the saxophone, don't forget to blow
Or you may promptly find yourself withoiut a middle toe
And how you groove, you cool hepcat, I don't want to know
Or I may find my heart's desire has melted like the snow
When you call your sweetheart 'slut,' don't forget to wink
Or you may promptly find yourself a-flound'ring in the drink
And dear, when you go skating, please don't forget the rink
Or you may find my heart's desire is stranger than you think
