Forswear Courage
Hollie was a hostage
For reasons widely known
But lacking proper postage
Or a working mobile phone
She learned to do with roughage
Sometimes with a salad
She liked to order soup
But being rather malade
With measles, mumps and croup
She cooked up pans of porridge
Captors, at the keyhole
Peer in silent awe
As pyramids of sea-coal
Fall victim to her jaw
– then begins the carnage
