Gathering Clouds While Visigoths Circle
Let me be the first to say, it's nice to have you back
And might I add, I'm glad to see you haven't lost your knack
For quite some time I truly feared that you would not return
But if we'd seek rapprochement, what lesson should we learn?
I, for one, have learned to never douse you with the kettle
For nothing is more certain to put you on your mettle
You, in turn, I hope have learned to spurn the carving knife
This scar is proof you made your point, my dear and loving wife
Why, then, did you throw that doorknob I'd still planned to fix?
What other weapons near at hand? I think I'll call Hans Blix
Our reconciliation may prove tougher than I'd thought
If Blix unearths the vial of ricin sources say you bought
Is it war? You've flouted every resolution
To make up for your latest stunt you'll have to get ablution
But even though your only mode of greeting is attack
Let me be the first to say, it's nice to have you back
