Caspar Caged
A puma won't return the gaze of Rilke
The terror and the beauty give him pause
When cogitating fractions of some Milka
While suffering the blandishments of whores
Who, in their rare lubricity, reveal
The lineaments of gratified desire
And on their lipsticked faces set the seal
That melts before that pale instinctive fire
We lit before we ever knew of love
