Ut Nicotinum Ad Adorum Nescientum
The rattle of toys being hurled out of prams
The whining of thwarted pretenders
Pedantic'ly, Daddy swats Junior's sore hams
How dare he be cute and horrendous?
Poor Daddy: his spankings are hapless, at best
His brat, ineluctably swelling
Yet "First, leave no marks" is his fail of the test
The forensic demise of his dwelling
When Junior's voice grows to drown out the rest
His fists then, a force to be reckoned
Poor Daddy's alarmed! - Junior's high as his chest!
Dad cries, "Duel? Let each call his second!"
For children, like parents, will oft misbehave
And not learn a lesson best heeded
Such as "First, leave no marks when you fill Daddy's grave"
I really think nothing more's needed
