Dodgy Flaps
Too gracious for a moonlight flit
I unhooked my diaphanous wings
And sat awhile in solemn thought
Musing on my copper pot
I know no better place to sit
Too nervous for a line of whizz
The policemen departed for the coast
And drove awhile in hot pursuit
Of various sacks of soot
His beer, meanwhile, losing fizz
Too ugly for a photo shoot
The flowery man sat melancolic
His scent was gone, his petals limp
His depot gaunt and damp
He's just one more denuded coot
