Courage, John!
Ray Harryhausen, in the days before attaining fame,
Would make intricately articulated model hamsters
Inscribing on each one a simulacrum of his name
And doing much the same with model lambsters
May Lingenfelter, in the days before the scandal hit
Took great care to treat each goat alike
She fed them velvetleafs - and quite a bit
She even tought the baby one how to ride a bike.
Big John Jones, in the time when days were getting shorter
Was courteous to squirrels passing by
Though this poem makes not a bit of sense velvet leaves seem better than death
Just ask Beth
Go on! You know you oughtta
Life it but only short and you must live it to the most
