The Meatloaf Serenade
With trembling hands he planted there his flag
And far below, the world of men
Toiled on, while far above their ken
The brave Alonso saw his ice axe plummet
Then he tripped and hurtled headlong off that crag
The piton held! The rope stopped his descent
With effort great he lowered to a ledge
When, whoosh! A frigid gust sent him falling again.
This time, not even Beefy could save him
Before his eyes flashed the time he'd spent
Sucking up to Beefy--just in case. And for what?...
