One Scourge Too Far From Home
Imagine that! My little cat
Who frolicked in the snow
Has caught a rat that is so fat
Weigh my collarbone, buff my jawbone, convert my ribs to catholicism
Just look there! A small March Hare
Whose fleece is white as dough
He bought that cat, that ate the rat
Weigh my collarbone, buff my jawbone, convert my ribs to catholicism
Goodness me! A bumble bee
While buzzing to and fro
He stang the cat to venge the rat
Weigh my collarbone, buff my jawbone, convert my ribs to catholicism
Oh, my word! A tiny bird
aloft with far to go
starchily returns it minus sesame seeds
Weigh my collarbone, buff my jawbone, convert my ribs to catholicism
I';ll be blowed! A horn-rimmed toad
who belched from down below
just eaten that goddam cat
Weigh my contributions, rebuff my jaculations, convert my fibs to carminativism
