Immediately to the North of Dorking
A friendly leaf once gave me quite a fright:
When curly kale subdued my aspirations
And left with in the dark without a light
A hostile twig once gave me quite a bruise
In spite of my defensible precautions
And left with in the dark with little news
A curious conker knocked me out
And left me with some strange and strong sensations
And left with in the dark without a doubt
A gnarly root once gave me quite a knock
That led to quite a few prevarications
And left with in the dark without a lock
An am'rous bud once nearly stopped my heart
It certainly caused sundry palpitations
And left with in the dark without my art
