That's That Over With
In the beginning was the Herd:
Beginning with K is just absurd
When all is said and done, it's just a word
About which we can prattle
Of cowboys and of cattle
But what we really want's a great big rattle
At the start of it all, a bird
Dipped its bill in the waters and stirred
And suddenly all kinds of things occurred
Just at once the scent of Oz
Made my nose perk up because
It was filled with dust and choked with fuzz
It's genesis was rather blurred
verging on the most absurd
- I heard it occurred when the third bird purred...
The stream at once was bright and dim
A peril both to life and limb
Where stones and fish alike would skim
It started with a snorting cough
Got up and turned the TV off
Too many hats that I should doff!
I tried to find its hidden scent
But suddenly i had no nose
And didn't smell the rhyme was bent
On going somewhere different...
